DEITY COMPONENTS 2011

Deity Components recently released their 2011 Spring/Summer collection and 2012 prototypes, and they're back once again with top quality goods with a reasonable, affordable price tag. They have revived their legendary bars, stems, sprockets and pedals in all new glamorously anodised colours, along with their new pivotal dirt jump saddles, and most importantly their new frames, the Cryptkeeper and Streetsweeper, which are all due to arrive in the UK later this year. Along with their stunning new component range are a whole bunch of lovely new softgoods, including all manner of flexfit hats, hoodies and t-shirts. I know from personal experience that the people behind Deity always put the customer first, and are willing to tell you anything you need to know. Wether you ride Downhill, Freeride, Dirt Jump or Street, Deity have just what you need to complete your perfect bike check, and everything to kit you out for a day at the trails to.

ZINK'S EVIL SIDE...

Cameron Zink left us all speechless last year. His victory at Crankworx, and his record-breaking 360 at Red Bull Rampage showed that he had the true potential to become one of the world's best freeriders. He recently stopped riding with Corsair Bikes, and the news is he has signed with new cult mountain bike firm, Evil Bikes. Evil needed a big recovery after losing freeride legend Thomas Vanderham, World Cup prodigy Lewis Buchanan and Stevie Smith, and Cam Zink is just enough to fill the gap left in Evil's team. I expect big things from Cam this year, and with sponsors like Evil, Troy Lee Designs and Osiris Footwear, I'm sure there will be.

RACEFACE TO CLOSE THEIR DOORS?

After 18 years of churning out high-quality, much-loved mountainbike componenets and clothing, Canadian company Race Face have closed their doors. The 30 staff members that make up Race Face's workforce have been laid off, but don't think this is the last we've seen of Race Face. There are rumblings saying that the company has been bought by Mountain Equipment Cooperative for their new line of bikes for 2011. More news as I get it!
